Santa Marta Haze Auto: With THC levels of 20%, this Sativa strain gives a pretty powerful and long lasting high. That is one of the reasons that makes it a winner. It also has a shiny appearance with its sparkling resinous buds, and a spicy and fruity aroma and taste. Our autoflower winner has been rewarded for its looks, smell, taste and effects!
1st prize: CBD cannabis cup
This category rewards medicinal strains that have high CBD levels. We couldn’t be happier about this one!
CBD Critical XXL: Our special pride! Our CBD Critical XXL has been awarded for several reasons. First of all, its appearance. Its frosty buds with bright orange hairs are a true eye catcher. This beauty has also been rewarded for its pine and liquorice aroma, as well as for its effects. This CBD rich strain is also very low on THC, which does not give a psychoactive high.
Softsecrets Highlife Cup
Since 1985, Softsecrets has been a huge source of information about cannabis for growers and users. Their mission is to bring up-to-date and relevant knowledge about growing, use, legalization and medical uses of cannabis and to ensure a safe and legal cannabis industry. With their strong network of researchers and content makers, Softsecrets divulges through magazines, websites and events.
In 1994, their Dutch magazine Highlife founded the Highlife Cup. It is the largest cup in the world and one of the second oldest in The Netherlands! (The oldest running competition is the Amsterdam Cannabis Cup, or High Times Cannabis cup, founded in 1987)
The Highlife cup rewards the best flowers, hash and extracts from Dutch coffeshops and seed banks. This year, the selection process took about 10 weeks. Each member of the jury received anonymous samples. The jury is as independent as can be, with no ties to the cannabis industry but with a proven experience in growing, using, testing and cannabis advocacy. The jury checked on appearance and smell and extra points were given for taste and effects.
The edition of 2021 was streamed due to the pandemic limitations.
