Seedstockers attended the Italian Canapa inMostra cannabis expo in Naples recently. This is one of Italy’s most popular shows for the cannabis home grower, with a wide variety of cannabis seeds and grow room equipment on offer.
Canapa inMostra: Lots of cannabis seeds for indoor and outdoor growing
Canapa inMostra is an international hemp and cannabis expo which attracts visitors plenty of Italian visitors as well as people from around Europe, especially the Mediterranean countries.
Most of the visitors are small scale cannabis home growers who use the show as a good chance to stock up on feminized seeds and autoflower seeds for indoor and outdoor cannabis growing.
There were also plenty of grow shop owners that attended the show.
Many of the main cannabis seed suppliers, nutrient suppliers and equipment/lighting manufacturers were present.
For visitors it’s a great chance to see the suppliers under one roof.
Seedstockers Low Cost Feminized Seeds and Autoflower Seeds
Canapa inMostra was very busy as usual. Lots of cannabis growers came to the show.
Seedstockers ran a special offer, any 3 seeds for €5 or 25 seeds for €20.
In Italy lots of people grow their cannabis seeds outdoors, so Seedstockers were busy serving both indoor and outdoor cannabis growers.
Growing Autoflower Seeds Outdoors
In Italy, especially southern Italy, the summers are long and hot with endless sun. The spring and autumn are also generally warm and with good temperatures.
This means that many outdoor growers like to use feminized autoflower seeds. These grow from seed to harvest in around 100 days outdoors.
Lots of visitors to Canapa inMostra used Seedstockers for their 2019 outdoor seed supply. Some growers explained that they can get 3 successive outdoor cannabis crops each year using autoflowering seeds.
Feminized Seeds for Outdoor Growing in Italy
Many Italian growers still prefer to grow photoperiod feminized outdoor cannabis seeds. These usually take around 5-6 months to grow from seed to harvest outdoors.
Varieties such as Frizzy Kush are popular with Italian outdoor growers.
This is usually harvested around the start of October in the Northern Hemisphere (early April in the Southern Hemisphere).
Although the total growing time is longer than an autoflowering variety, the yields are also higher.
Italian Indoor Cannabis Growers
Lots of the customers came to Seedstockers to buy cannabis seeds for indoor growing.
These days that means a mixture of photoperiod feminized seeds as well as autoflowering seeds.
Quality levels of the harvests from either seed type are very similar and many cannabis growers switch between auto and feminized seeds according to personal preference.
Some indoor cannabis growers explained that they prefer to grow autoflower seeds during the cooler winter months, the lights (on a 20/4 light schedule) keep the growroom warm.
Trends at Canapa inMostra
CBD rich cannabis buds were once again a popular trend.
Many growers in central and eastern Europe are cultivating hemp and low THC cannabis varieties to produce CBD rich buds with less than 1% THC. These buds don’t get you high, but they do offer a relaxing sensation. And many cannabis users find that a quick smoke of CBD rich cannabis reduces the urge to smoke THC-rich cannabis.
Some cigarette smokers that are trying to quit tobacco also find CBD rich buds are a great help. That’s because a smoke of CBD rich buds also reduces the urge to smoke tobacco.
These are unusual and unexpected qualities to find in CBD rich cannabis. But many tobacconists and heath stores are selling CBD rich cannabis buds and they are surprisingly popular.
