White Widow Autoflower is one of the highest THC varieties in the Seedstockers autoflower seed collection.
The genetics are world famous for 20% + THC levels and heavy yields.
The Seedstocker White Widow Autoflower remains one of the most consistent genetic lines we have seen.
In this weeks customer review ‘FN’ grew his autoflower seeds in 15 litre air pots of coco fibre.
The original grow diary is here on the Autoflower Network.
Nutrients came from Advanced Nutrients and the plants were hand watered. The seeds germinated quickly and were placed directly into the air pots.
Many autoflower growers prefer to place the seed directly into the final growing container. This minimised the time lost (and stress) caused by repotting the plant into progressively larger growing containers. Because autoflower seeds grow from seed to harvest in around 75 days the plants don’t have much spare time to deal with the time lost due to re-potting.
The White Widow Autoflower seedlings grew rapidly.
When they were young they showed some signs of variegation on the leaves, this is just a cosmetic effect which shows produces slightly different shades of green on the leaves. It can be seen on many different cannabis varieties and is nothing to worry about, the plants grow through it quickly.
The plants showed female pre-flowers around 25 days after germination, this is typical for this variety.
The plants began as small bushy seedlings which began to stretch rapidly during days 30-60 approx.
Note how the White Widow Autoflower seeds grew rapidly to their final hight and quickly developed some extensive side branching. This is typical of Seedstockers autoflower plant development, usually you see a tall dominant central bloom surrounded by slightly smaller side blooms.
Because the blooms can reach 50cm or more, the overall yields from White Widow Autoflower are heavy. Many repeat customers routinely pull over 200g from plants grown in hydroponic systems.
Even first time cannabis growers can achieve well over 100g with this variety in reasonable conditions.
If you buy the Seedstockers White Widow Autoflower seeds in bulk you can get them for around a euro per seed. You can’t buy quality autoflowering cannabis seeds for less than that.
In this weeks review the White Widow Autoflower seeds were grown under LED grow lights in this weeks grow, LED seems to be the best way to grow autoflower seeds with maximum efficiency. The spectrum is usually superior to HPS, but without the high levels of heat which can limit yield and quality.
The main reason most cannabis home growers give for growing with LED is the increased cannabinoid levels, with higher THC content.
In this weeks grow the White Widow Autoflower seeds were grown under 20 hours of daily light. This is the optimum light schedule for growing autoflower seeds.
White Widow Autoflower seeds usually take around 75 days from seed to harvest, in this weeks review the grower left them for an extra week or two and his patience was rewarded with a particularly heavy crop of THC rich cannabis.
The White Widow Autoflower genetics remain popular partly due to the ease-of-growth. No special growing experience is required to get the best from these seeds.
The main mistakes tend to be growers that over-feed these genetics, and soil growers who over-water. If you can avoid these errors you should find this an easy seed variety to grow.
Our top tip for growing this variety is to use powerful grow lights especially for the last 5-6 weeks of growth. Good side illumination will really help develop heavy blooms.
As you can see from the pictures in this weeks review, this variety will reach a large size and needs very little attention. During the last 10 days this variety can need support to prevent the branches collapsing under their own weight.
If you are looking for one of the most consistent THC-rich autoflower seed varieties then take a look at Seedstockers White Widow Autoflower seeds.
