Seedstockers is a new seed brand, a sister company of Dutch Passion from Amsterdam with the same owner as Dutch Passion, Henk van Dalen.
Seedstockers specialize in selling large quantities of high quality seeds for a very competitive price with a very simple business model; a small office and small young and motivated team.
Seedstockers are based in Barcelona, Spain, and they have access to the best of the worlds cannabis breeders. Seed Stockers select the best varieties from the best genetics and offer seeds at discount prices.
How did you come to this idea?
The people at Dutch Passion very often get requests for large amount of seeds for a very low price, but the constant innovation and development into new types of strains and techniques make it difficult for Dutch Passion to compete in the high-volume market with basic products.
Dutch Passion have always had the small home growers who grow for personal use as their main customer group. Also we often get requests from people who would love to grow but are not in the position to afford the usual amount of money for a pack of seeds.
We would like to help all these customers, because we believe that anyone who wants to grow their own cannabis should be able to do that. Seedstockers is a tool to reach an even wider audience then with Dutch Passion alone, and in the end, spread more seeds over the world.

What is the main difference?
The whole way of working is different, at Seedstockers the customer decides the quantity of seeds, from 1 to 1,000. Buying a larger volume from the Seedstockers website gives you a lower price per seed.
The location of Seedstockers is also different, in Barcelona we are very close to some of our best customers, the cannabis social clubs, who have large plantations and need new seeds all the time. The cannabis social club production facilities have been fully legalized which means Barcelona is now the capital of Europe’s cannabis industry.
Seed Stockers are deliberately located in Barcelona to access some of the best new cannabis genetics, breeders and growers.
What genetics and seeds do you use?
Seedstockers do not have their own seed production facilities, but we work closely together with breeders who we have known for many years, and some new ones.
We constantly test seed quality from all our breeders, and conduct through testing of new breeders. We do this together with some friendly Barcelona cannabis clubs who have the space and resources to test large numbers of seeds. We only accept the best breeders, and negotiate deals with them to buy large amounts of seeds for low prices, these savings can then be passed on to Seed Stockers customers.
The breeders are happy because we give them a steady and reliable income. And because Seed Stockers buy in bulk, we give breeders the possibility to get rid of their surplus seed production.
The varieties which we offer are all from genetics which easily produce large numbers of seeds. Some cannabis strains are very productive when growing them for weed, but not when using them for seed production which makes the cost per seed a lot higher.
At seedstockers we only carry strains which are very productive for direct weed production, but also for seed production. It allows us to keep our costs low and are prices low.
Do you use genetics of other breeders not from Dutch Passion?
Yes, as you can see many of the strains on the Seedstockers site contain original Dutch Passion genetics which have been crossed with other strains and also seeds which are not from the Dutch Passion collection. This is partially because Seedstockers customers sometimes demand different genetics.
Some of the Dutch Passion varieties simply cant be produced in large seed quantities and that makes them unsuitable for the Seed Stockers low-cost business model. Some strains have been developed exclusively for Seedstockers, such as Blackberry Gum and BCN Critical XXL.
Others are well known basic strains which our breeders also sell to other companies. Such as Northern Lights and Super Skunk, these are proven, consistent and potent genetics.
When you buy in bulk directly from the breeders we get the best seed prices which we pass on to Seedstockers customers.
Why is the Seed Stockers price lower?
Because we created Seedstockers with two main goals: Low price seeds and high quality.
The most important ways that we keep prices low are:
- We only carry genetics which produce generous amounts of seeds per plant. This makes the price per seed lower.
- We purchase large amounts, only from the most efficient breeders, never from ‘middle men’.
- We do not spend money on research and development.
- We do not spend a lot of money on promotion and marketing
- We accept a lower profit than traditional seed companies
Can you say that it is bulk seeds?
Probably some people see us like that, but we do not really like that description for Seedstockers.
In our view a bulk seed company sells large numbers of seeds from unknown suppliers, without a reliable brand, without quality testing, without a correct product description and without any service.
Often we hear bad stories about the quality of these companies. We are a low-cost seed brand, but customers can contact us if they have comments or questions, we can be contacted in many ways, such as Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Signal and Telegram.
We package our seeds correctly and have good seed stability and performance.
We aim for 100% high quality seeds with high THC results.
We do not want to be the cheapest seed company at any cost, therefore we do not work with seed suppliers who offer low grade seeds.
Our benefit is that we have more then 30 years experience in the seed business, and we already have a large world-wide network of the best breeders.
We are not seed producers or breeders ourselves, but have very close contacts with our breeders and have influence on their way of working and the genetics they use.
We think that Seed Stockers deliver a completely new concept which is fundamentally different to the existing (high cost) large seed companies and the (low quality) bulk seed companies.
We are not a bulk seed company, but we are a high quality alternative to a bulk seed company.
