This week in the SeedStockers grow we are talking about the Candy Dawg autoflower.
It was grown here, with our autoflowering network.
Most of the cultivation of this plant is used to help people with multiple sclerosis, many people with ALS find that the use of medical cannabis helps to get relief from the symptoms of the disease.
The cultivator uses the following equipment:
60cm x 100cm x 200cm (DxWxH) = 0,6 m2
GN HS1 (75W)
GN Telos 0008 (240W at full power, this unit was modified to be able to reduce watts due to the small grow zone)
1 tank of an old GHE aeroponic system modified to become a DWC tank. It uses a 3 inch tray and a 9.6 liter per minute air pump with 4 air stones
Remo Nutrients (Micro, Grow, Bloom, MagNifiCal, VeloKelp, AstroFlower & Nature’s Candy
Canna Cannazym (Enzymeproduct to help keep roots clean)
Carbon filters and an old fan (280m3 / h)
Tilting fan for air recirculation
I find this strain extremely forgiving and easy to grow. It responds very well to external stresses, including heat without much difficulty. I’m sure the heat of the summer (above 30 ° C / 85 ° F) reduced the yield slightly, but I still managed to achieve a yield of 1 gram per watt. I am equally sure that with better conditions this variety can achieve an even greater yield.
I believe this variety responds very well to various cultivation techniques. I used the technique called “main-lining ” and it worked very well. I recommend it for its ease of execution, in case your plant got off to a very healthy and trouble-free start.
I have used as little as possible or even less than what this variety needs. He looked very happy in my DWC at around 1.0 EC maximum while my water EC hovers around 0.14 EC. I used Remo fertilizers.
Exactly as its name suggests: very sweet and caramel. Really sugary albeit brilliant and with hints of fruit. Very pleasant and homogeneous. My patient and I loved the taste and found it very satisfying.
My patient suffers from ALS and this causes her a variety of pains: from inflammatory pains, to the nervous system, to muscle cramps.
To our surprise we realized that this variety helped her a lot to relieve all these pains. Although not considered to be the best for the nervous system, Dutch Passion’s well-known Blue AutoMazar is a great alternative for this purpose, and given its anti-anxiety and pain-reducing effects it can be considered an excellent strain for what concerns the therapeutic effects as well as the sudden reduction of pain.
I’m sure this strain would suit a wide range of pains from various ailments. I am aware that each case is unique, but seeing such immediate relief was quite encouraging. It is another tool in our arsenal and is destined to remain there. Really highly recommended.
Yes, they are suitable for pressing. I got quite satisfactory yields from pressing and the quality of the wax was good.
While this strain is excellent and I recommend it to everyone, for both recreational and therapeutic use, I give it a 4.5 instead of a full 5 because there are even better strains that give medical coverage and even better yield than this strain.
As the grower showed us this week, his harvest is also reliable and substantial. Most experienced growers love this feminized seed strain for its high strength buds, ease of cultivation and above average yield. This went from seed to harvest in just 67 days, making this strain one of the fastest ways to get connoisseur quality cannabis.
