Candy Dawg is a variety popular with growers who want a proven mega-smoke with a simple and uncomplicated growing experience.

The presence of low-maintenance Kush genetics makes for a simple and easy home grow, so simple that less experienced growers will also be able to produce excellent results.

This variety needs very little maintenance and care, she is a tough Kush which grows under a wide range of conditions. Indoors, this variety does well in soil, coco fibre, hydroponic grow systems or any other type of grow method/medium.

Candy Dawg Feminized Seeds Grown in Coco Fibre and Clay Pebbles

In this weeks grow diary, Candy Dawg was grown indoors by ‘Roweysgrows’ using a popular grow medium of 60% coco fibre and 40% clay pebbles.

Many grow shops sell pre-mixed coco/clay pebble grow mixtures.

The coco is pre-buffered to have the right pH and the combination of coco fibre and pebbles allows rapid root growth as well as a well oxygenated root ball.

The clay pebbles are felt to offer an improved structure for the cannabis roots to grow in.

The plant containers was 20 litres. With cannabis, in general, larger plant containers allow more extensive root growth which means a larger plant and better harvests.

One other advantage of a large container is the the plant can cope for longer between watering/feeding. This can be useful for growers who occasionally spend a night away from their grow room.

Candy Dawg Feminized Wide Latitude Indica Seeds

The Candy Dawg was grown vegetetively for 4.5 weeks with 18/6 light, which is about average for this variety. Some growers prefer to give this variety a longer veg of up to 6-8 weeks if they are aiming for a larger indoor harvest.

Nutrients came from Mills, and the grower commented that this plant was a heavy feeder.

Bloom time us relatively fast, this Indica dominant can be harvested around 8 weeks but many growers prefer to leave her an extra week or two for a full bodied and hard-hitting indica stone.

Harvest quantities are good with Candy Dawg fem seeds, but an extra week or two at the end really allows a heavy harvest. In this weeks grow diary, the plant was flushed for the last 2 weeks. This means that the plant was fed with plain water. This allows the plant roots to use up the residual minerals in the grow medium without being given any extra nutrients. Many growers feel this gives a smoother smoke.

During this weeks blog grow, the Candy Dawg was Fimmed twice during veg. This means that the growing tip was cut twice during veg growth. This produces a shorter and bushier plant. Instead of a single central bloom, there are numerous blooms. Many home growers feel that this improves eventual harvest quantities.

The grower gave the following comments

“This plant is quite easy to grow! Was a medium sized bushy plant. The smell was a very skunky lemon when growing. Amazing bag smell. Smoke is a very heavy stone which leads to a nice relaxing body stone. The smoke is unreal like a a bit of a fruit salad.”

As the pictures show, this is a great looking indica Kush, with blue hues in the leaves and buds.

Bud production is heavy, this variety was selected and bred with heavy home grown harvests in mind.

As a Kush bred from proven genetic stock, this is always going to be an easy and uncomplicated variety in the grow room.

The main reason for the repeat growers to choose this variety is usually the extreme quality of the harvest. Buds are sticky with resin and have a great fruity kush aroma with some skunky tones and hints of fuel.

If you are looking for a reliable and easy to grow indoor variety then look no further. This variety delivers a high-end smoke/vape which you will love.

The indica high arrives rapidly, it’s a great Kush effect with a strong body effect which medical growers will love.

Seeds are a little bit more expensive than some Seedstockers varieties but the quality really is worth it.
