23 March, 2022This time we didn’t need to get on a plane to attend a world famous fair, because it’s been us who have thrown the party in our hometown of Barcelona. Spannabis has conquered the cannabis world once again and we’re proud to say that we’ve been a part of it.
The numbers
With the participation of 280 international exhibitors and over 21,000 tickets sold, this year’s edition has been a huge success. These figures are clearly a reflection of the excellent organisation of the event, the impressive range of innovative products that were on offer, and the fantastic music and cultural events which were also an integral part of the fair.
The team
Our team of twelve was part of this event along with our mascots, the Doobie squirrels, who, we are sure you have spotted during your visit to Spannabis. In addition, we had the assistance from some of our collaborators from around the world, who helped us on both of our stands: the Seedstockers’ stand, and another stand exclusively dedicated to the launch of our new premium seed line Humboldt X Seedstockers.
Humboldt X Seedstockers
We’re especially proud of this line of work, which is the result of the collaboration between the Seedstockers’ team of breeders and a crew of growers from Humboldt County, in California. Since 2017 we’ve been working on this to help create exclusive strains that have already been very well received by the public.
En Volá
Our collaboration with the En Volá team has been very valuable to us. This is a communication channel specialised in cannabis topics whose team travelled all the way from Chile to document Seedstockers’ presence at Spannabis in their own, unique style.
But our collaboration with En Volá wasn’t the only one. Besides being the sponsors of Dab-A-Doo, i.e. the cup dedicated to extracts that was founded by Mila the Hash Queen, we also enjoyed the company of many other friends from the sector during this unforgettable weekend, including Minigrow, and the Barcelona clubs Dr. Resin and Exotic House.
Cups
This year we closed the fair in the best possible way, by winning four prizes in the ‘Autoflower World Cup’ in just one weekend. We took home first place in the Best Indica category with our Candy Dawg Auto, and with CBD Critical XXL Auto in the Best CBD category. What’s more, our Rucu Cucu OG received second prize in the Best New Variety category, with Santa Marta Haze also receiving the runners up prize in the Best Sativa category.
Next destination
After the two-year break, celebrating Spannabis again has been really exciting, not only for our seed bank but for everyone else involved. And even though it’s only just finished, we’re already preparing for our next stop, Canapa Mundi in Rome from 1st to 3rd of April, where all our strains will be on show once again.
